well, as says the title, went off to some place called Tim Po To or something like that, for the MASSOC organized chinese new year dinner. i must say, it was more like a EE and ME gathering, coz without us, it wouldve probably been only the commitee members enjoying a lonely dinner. some response they had for this. i kinda get the feel this years MASSOC commitee isnt too good. or maybe that last years one was just great. anyway, it was quite fun. 9 pounds is a hefty price for a chinese buffet, but this is the first place in sheffield where i truly taste malaysian style chinese food. i mean, excluding my own cooking, of course, this is real chinese food, not those british chinese food at other buffets. and slurp, was it good. can't really call it a buffet tho, they just stuffed us with so much food, we couldnt order more. 12 courses! picture that.... ok, lets see if i can recollect what we ate... in addition to white rice and friend egg rice

1. Deep Fried Spring Rolls - good ol vegetarian delight
2. BBQ Pork Ribs - tasty, my fren wanted more, ended up getting called so kua by the waitress
3. Siew Yuk & Char Siew - so damn long neva eat this, i paued alot
4. Sweet & Sour Pork - to imagine i hate this in msia, but eat this here
5. Spicy & Sour Soup - i tot it was sharkfin for a moment
6. Chili Prawns - prawns... burp
7. Herbal Beef - good stuff, healthy to boot
8. Fried Yee Mee - touch abit la
9. Deep Fried Garlic Chicken - damn nice, not enuff to go around
10. Chinese Mushrooms & Chicken - didnt even touch
11. Deep Fried Sotong - yum yum, munch munch
12. Tofu & Brocolli - not my type

it isnt in the right order, but thats what we ate, and it was so damn good. the chef is malaysian, i think... and to top that up, we had bubur cha cha and taufufa for desert. 4 bowls of taufa for me, and slurp... i feel fat right now.
