ok, life is stressful. less than 36 hours from the due date of my SECOND YEAR REPORT (ahh, caps... makes it feel big and scary, doesnt it?), and i'm starting it right now. from scratch. dennis (my project partner) isnt very reliable on this case... so ill be doing alot of this on me own. ahh, the wonders of life. but anyway, i find myself here, bloggin, and ill continue on some of my amsterdam story right now. so lets continue from day 1.

so we've arrived in amsterdam, ate our wonderful franchaise breakfast... and now, we're off to the hotel. i had a bad feeling about this already, me and the gang wanted to come amsterdam and find a place here, but NOOOOO, stupid cousin had to go about booking one. not that the hotel is bad or anything.. its just not cheap, no en suite toilet (i can live with that, but not for this price), and a lil further than the horde of hotels on damrack road (which is the happening spot right outside the train station). even cooler, they accidentally gave a 3 person room to gary and me.... and since pityful cousin of mine decided to cram 4 ppl in a 2 person room, i decided to swap wif him. but NOOOO, he got scared he might get caught for their mistake, so he says he'll manage, and leaves me to the room, and of course, running the risk of getting my ass hauled out of the hotel because i payed for 2 in a 3 persons room. but anyway, check in time was 2pm, and it was 11, so we had quite abit of time to roam the city. considering the group was relatively large.... big.... huge!! i mean, 10 peeps is like, wow!!! so we split up, me and my bunch going our ways, my cousin and his cronies going his. i bought a map during breakfast, and was looking thru it when i decided, heck, ill just ask the porter for hotspots in amsterdam. i mean, he should know, shouldnt he? so i was wrong. so much help he was. i'd get better guidance following a blind man walking. but anyway, we took one of his advice and went on the amsterdam canal cruise. so its smelly and murky waters, with us on a tour boat, going thru the whole amsterdam. its quite nice actuallly, alot of sights to see, new things learned (did you know amsterdam houses have these hook-like things on their roofs, so they can lift up heavy stuff thru to the top floor without going thru the crammed corridors? that explains pianos falling from the sky). so after that was done.,... went to da hotel.. took a nice long sleep till bout 7 something. decided to go out for some holland food, only to find the shop in our travel guide (1997 publicaiton, argh! thx anyway kev) had closed down. pity me. so we joins my couz for dinner. had some steak and potato stew thingy... tasty stuff, alot of potatoes, very filling. not cheap. haha, anyway, after that was over, i see me running off to the highlight of the day, and amsterdam itself. kawasan lampu merah. *ahem*. i mean red light district. wanna know what happened therE? hahaha, thats for myself and mua gang only. then we went back tidurz.

and so will i now. tidurz. ta.
