hola! derek ere, reporting in from the 3rd biggest city in espanyol.. valencia! this place is massive and historic! city´s small enough to walk, and its like a maze, with turns here and there, and alleys which lead into squares and main roads. but with every twist and turn i make, there´d be some huge cathedral or church or statue waiting for me on the other side. i can see the reason they call this the historical city of valencia. and food here is... yummm. lotsa cheap and traditional food, like tapas (think spanish sandwich) for breakfast.. and paella (throw rice and seafood on a frying pan, and put it in the oven) for dinner. wonderful, and so much better than ibiza´s food. and at night, drinking spanish beer at street side cafes, with street performers and skateboarders all about (figure they like skateboards here). only thing is, this would be a more non-tourist and more spanish city, and no one here speaks english! so only thing i find myself doing, is pointing here and there, and showing my fingers to ask for price and stuff. thats the thing about travelling alone... i havent actually spoken for a day! i think i might end up becoming a mute soon. haha. anyway, gotta go check out some bullfights. chow.
